Emili Phomsouvanh is a journalism and ethnic studies double major at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. She is interested in using journalism to highlight ethnic histories and share stories that support the preservation of land, culture, and community. She hopes to highlight community voices and strengthen the relationship between journalism and the communities it serves.
