Internships and Fellowships

The list below identifies some of the most-coveted Journalism internships internationally, nationally, regionally, and locally. They are listed in order by the month of their earliest submission deadlines (some have multiple deadlines in a year). To apply for any of these, students should start preparing their applications at least a couple of months in advance of the deadline below. These opportunities (almost) all require a highly polished resume, an online portfolio of work published, references, and a cover letter. Additional requirements are included in the application materials. Journalism faculty members are available to review these application materials and offer feedback but will need at least a couple of weeks turnaround time, so plan ahead.
