Savvy Andrews, Contributor

Aloha! My name is Savvy Andrews, and I am a graduating senior at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa pursuing a B.A. in Journalism with a minor in Communicology. I fell in love with journalism in 2020, during a time when our world needed truth, clarity, and diverse voices more than ever.

My love for storytelling is matched by my comfort in front of the camera—since the age of eight, I’ve trained and competed in hip-hop dance, the sport that shaped my confidence as both a performer and communicator.

Through the journalism program at UH Mānoa, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with amazing people, discovering my voice, and exploring the fields of journalism, communicology, and public relations. You can find more of my work in Hawaii Business Magazine, Honolulu Civil Beat, and across social platforms for @hawaiiathletics, @prssauhm, and @spj.uhmanoa.
