My name is Rylie. I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am currently a sophomore studying journalism at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa.

I grew up surrounded by a sport-loving family, having football on every Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. I didn’t get into sports, however, until 2020, the Covid times. Hockey had been the only sport in season. I found my family watching the Golden Knights games together. The more I thought, the more I figured I could combine two of my favorite things: sports and writing. My dream is to become a photographer, broadcaster, or writer for ESPN, specifically focusing on hockey.

My goal, with the help of Mānoa Mirror, is to learn more about people, photography, interviewing, and writing.
