Hello! I'm Blaze Calizo, a second-year journalism major at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa! I was born and raised on Oahu and grew up in Kunia but went to school in Wahiawa where I graduated from Leilehua High School in 2022.

I've always had a liking for writing and story-telling and my career as a journalist can allow me to not only continue writing but to tell the stories of the world. In my experience, there are a lot of stories that can go untold or unnoticed and I want to do those stories and its people justice.

I feel that journalists should not only tell the stories of the world but should also actively seek to inform the world of the truth. It's our job to find and preserve the truth as best as we can, and I hope my contributions to this industry accomplish these prospects.

Although I may not be as polished or prodigious as some of my peers, I'll do my best to tell the stories of the world and bring forth the truth.
