Haider Rifaat is a first-year PhD student in Political Science at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. He earned a Master's degree in Communication from the same university. Haider is an entertainment journalist and has experience in print and digital media spanning 10 years.

His articles have appeared in notable international publications, including WONDERLAND and the South China Morning Post. He is also a special commentator on current affairs for China Global Television Network (CGTN).

Haider serves as the editor of The Mānoa Mirror.
