About

The Mānoa Mirror

Founded in 2023, The Mānoa Mirror showcases news stories crafted by students in the Journalism Program at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. Our team covers topics ranging from student life at UH to the vibrant culture of Honolulu, as well as opinion pieces on current events.

In 2024, we were awarded the Press Forward national journalism grant for our commitment to addressing the critical need for enhanced local news coverage in Hawai‘i and amplifying student voices to the broader public.

All articles are edited by the Journalism faculty, and contributors have granted permission for their work to be featured in The Mirror.

We welcome thoughtful feedback and invite respectful dialogue in the comments section.
